| MICHAEL JACKSON'S SON PRINCE TO GIVE 'KEY EVIDENCE' IN HIS DAD'S MANSLAUGHTER TRIAL
The DA’s office and his relatives believe Prince Michael’s evidence is crucial to the case against Dr Murray and could even blow his entire defence out of the water
MICHAEL Jackson’s son Prince Michael is to be a star prosecution witness in the manslaughter trial of the King of Pop’s doctor.
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has confirmed Michael Jackson’s 14-year-old son will give “key evidence” against heart specialist Dr Conrad Murray.
And yesterday a family source revealed: “Both the DA’s office and his relatives believe Prince Michael’s evidence is crucial to the case against Dr Murray and could even blow his entire defence out of the water.
“It’s going to be one hell of an ordeal for the youngster but he’s a brave boy and he’s ready.”
Dr Murray denies involuntary manslaughter.
His defence team have said they will set out to prove that Jackson did not die from the regular dosage of anaesthetic propofol administered by Dr Murray.
Instead, they will claim he suffered a fatal overdose in June 2009, aged 50, after “topping up” with illicit supplies of the drug he kept hidden in his master bedroom.
Prince Michael, J****’s eldest son, is likely to give evidence early next month after jury selection, which resumes this week.

I agree. I think that a family member will step in and not allow Prince to testify. That will be very hard. But, look what Paris did at the Funeral. Even if he does testify, that doesn't prove anything to me. He could be told exactly what to say.

| I highly doubt if Prince testifies, it will have been an act. He is a child so we may not even see his testimony. | |

| Somehow, I get the feeling Prince wants to testify. Just not sure which side he's testifying for. After all, he was in the room with Murray and MJ for a brief time yet no one has said anything about what he saw, as far as I know. This could be really interesting. Considering how much time has passed and how mature Prince appears, I think he'll do well. Plus, like you Tracy, the acting classes will probably help. | |

| The trial hasnt even gotten here yet and speculation is already starting in a very negative way towards Prince. He is a child. Lets not forget that. Even if his "acting classes" help him in court, I doubt he will lie and if he does it will be found out. The kids who lied about Michael were very much coached all their lives to lie and "act" and it served them well for awhile, but it did them no good in a court of law.
I agree Suki, he may well want to testify. If his father is really is gone, he will want to say what he saw. He would be eager to. That being said, who knows what side that will benefit. I also think he will do well but it will have everything to do with being the intelligent, polite and well spoken person Michael taught him to be.
*If Michael is still alive, then Prince would have to lie and that worries me greatly. If this is the case, I hope like CC says, that someone will step in and not allow him to testify. I dont know if they can do that but I hope so. He should not have to be put in that situation. It just seems real far fetched though. Its just one more thing that gives me that grim feeling. Not taking away my hope though!!

| Right there with ya, D. IF Michael is alive, I'm not sure that Prince would lie. I think Michael taught those children better than that. So, it could go one of two ways...Prince confirms his father is dead or he starts the big reveal. Let's all hope it's the latter. | |

| In reality, the family has no say as to whether or not Prince testify's. If he is subpeoned to testify, he has to. I would think he would want..... | |

| IF he witnessed his father laying there dying/dead it must have been extremely traumatic for him... I just can't see a judge ordering him to testify. If Prince wants to take the stand for his father he should be allowed to do so.. I just don't think you should EVER force a child to do something like this. I hope they know what they are doing if they make little Prince testify. MAN! I just don't want the kids to have to be involved. Maybe it's a good thing.. If these were my children, I don't know what I would do.. I hope the family has a damn good counselor ready for Prince if this happens. Just to be on the safe side I would start therapy immediately. | |

| Yes, it can be very traumatic experience for anyone. My son witnessed his father dropping dead in the woods at the age of 12. At the same time it could be a very "healing" experience for Prince. Who's to say what is right or wrong for someone else.......... | |

| Well, no one is to say what's right or wrong, that's why I use words like I think.. and maybe it's a good thing.. and also saying I think it would be good to have a counselor handy to talk to Prince when this is all said and done.. Not only him, but all of them so they can talk about how the trial is affecting them. I have been through some pretty damn traumatic things in my life and even yrs of therapy didn't help it. *sigh* I hope they are ok! | |

| Some kids are pretty good about bouncing back but therapy couldnt hurt in the long run. And this family is weird though. Maybe it wont affect him at all. Like I said maybe he is eager to do this and it will give him a real sense of doing something for his father, if it goes that way, and maybe it will be healing as paulie said, but he is a child and I agree that counseling would be a good thing cuz once you put it all out there, then what do you do with it? I have a hard time with that at my age sometimes!! | |

| I didn't really start suffering from my traumatic experiences till I was 18 and it didn't hit HARD till I was almost 30! Kids are VERY resilient yes, and it can appear that they are fine then one day out of nowhere they are driving down the road and get hit with a panic attack so bad it makes them wreck their car. I mean trauma is VERY serious and can strike at ANY time in your life. | |
